What is Plasma?

Plasma is often called “the fourth state of matter”, usually the first three state are solid, liquid and gas, just as liquid will boil, changing into a gas when energy is added, heating a gas will form a plasma—a soup of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons.

What is Plasma Cutting?

Plasma cutting is a melting process in which a jet of ionized gas at temperatures about 20000℃ is used to melt and expel metals. Since plasma cutting machines produce a very hot and very localized “Arc” to cut with, they are extremely useful for cutting sheet metal in curved or angled shapes. Any conductive metals include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper and alloys, etc.

How does plasma cutting work?

Plasma cutting machines creates plasma by electric arc which is passed through a gas such as nitrogen, oxygen, argon or air. The plasma can be forced through a small opening like a nozzle, which can cut through conductive metal.

The plasma cutting includes:

Power source

Air compressor

Torch

Plasma cutting processes:

Hand-held cutting torches can usually cut up to 38mm thick

This breakdown of how plasma cutting works is incredibly useful, especially the practical tips on maintaining clean cuts and extending the life of your consumables. While reading about heavy metal fabrication and workshop techniques is highly practical, it's also a great way to unwind during a quick coffee break by exploring some ocean survival strategies and resource tips over on 100 days at sea.

Interesting how puzzle logic and cat aesthetics finally found a natural crossover. For anyone curious about the actual mechanics behind the tile placement, the Meowdoku Game Guide breaks down the rules without fluff—just clear level walkthroughs and a few video demos that actually help when you get stuck. No hype, just useful reference material.

Needed custom puzzle piece SVG templates for a Cricut wedding project. Adjusted the interlock depth, downloaded in seconds. Clean paths, no cleanup needed in Inkscape.
